Why?

I'm not quite sure why but....in this grant program I am participating in there was a lot of hoopla about what technology we could get...and things we would be doing with it...well, now that we are down to looking at technology, the whole idea has changed...the teachers are using mac books and ipads, and touches...the students (not in stone yet but ?) will be using netbooks...so...originally there was the "apps"  we had to have i things for the apps but now if we go with netbooks, then we can have  more $ to spend on other stuff...in using the mac book, i don't really see any difference from my pc laptop...and no one can tell me what the "apps" are that were so important...????On Thursday, the team involved in the grant will be meeting with technology consultants....we will see how that goes....

technology this weekend

I created a video for my husband for our anniversary.  It was rather easy to do....much like PowerPoint, Ican think in images easily.  I put together a series of pictures and music in movie maker and gave him a love song with images of us and our 4 years of life together.  Today...I podcast.....we will see how that goes....

Immersion

as i work with the younger teachers, i feel like they are technology 24/7....sometimes i am lucky if i  check my personal email 1/wk let alone daily.....I'm not as immersed in the technology as they are....i wish i could be....i'm not sure how to increase my immersion...hopefully, working with his grant group will improve my skills

Is it summer yet?

I think school ended about 3 weeks ago...but the work seems to go on and on and on. I took a class the week after school ended and it entailed going to work half a day and going to class half a day. Now, I am working on 2 on line classes and the work goes on and on and on. I am learning to be a better technology immigrant....we will see how this goes.
